Increasingly popular hardware manufacturers and software developers Arturia have revealed a limited edition of their KeyStep and BeatStep range. Musicians will be able to buy black versions of the KeyStep, BeatStep and BeatStep Pro controllers.
The appeal for this range is broad, due in no part to the flexibility of these MIDI controllers. In addition to controlling almost any DAW you can connect, the Step range also act as sequencers. In addition to the sequencing ability each model in the ‘Black Edition’ range also comes with CV cables, giving easy access to the sequencers’ hardware controls.
This ability to control hardware instruments, virtual instruments, outboard modules and record at the same time is at the heart of the design of the whole Step range. This range of devices is just at home with the digital world as it is with the analog realm.

This small format keyboard sequencer features a 32-note slim-key keybed with aftertouch, and lets you sync with & control any software or hardware instrument through its comprehensive connectivity, including USB, MIDI in & out, CV gate, and Sync in & out. Arturia BeatStep Pro Black Edition
Arturia’s cutting edge, 3-part step sequencer now has a sleek new look. Featuring two separate melodic sequencers and a dedicated 16-track drum sequencer, BeatStep Pro gives the adventurous musician a powerful palette of tools to create dynamic, exciting tracks without the need for a computer screen.
Arturia BeatStep Black Edition
Packing 16 pressure and velocity sensitive pads and 16 rotary knobs into a neat package, BeatStep is an affordable way for musicians to get creative with simple monophonic step-sequences. Able to control outboard synths and virtual instruments alike, BeatStep’s versatility also makes it a great DAW controller.
